Ice Cave in Antarctica

This is an Ice Cave near McMurdo Station Antarctica. The cave was formed at the end of the Erebus Tongue Glacier as the salty sea ice was subducted under the fresh water glacier causing a fault to open up. The fault was partially filled in and covered over creating the cave. The formations were formed by dripping water and frost. The McMurdo Station residents are privileged to get to see it this year. No one has entered the cave for at least 2 years and since it was formed by a moving glacier, it may be destroyed next year.
